Only a Boy Named David

This morning while having my quiet time, the Lord put Davids on my heart, and I am praying for these boys, for their spirit to be mighty and strong, and to be prominent over their body and soul.  I call them to be extravagant worshipers of God in spirit and truth, filled with delight in God's Presence.  May they be filled full with God's Spirit and seeking after His face,  hungering for His Presence, that they can pull into their day and hour blessings that were reserved for a future time, just as King David did in 24/7 worship in the tabernacle.  May their hearts of worship be used in restoring the Tabernacle of David in our day.

May they learn faithfulness and confidence in God in their youth, just as David did caring for sheep... alone... learning to hear God's voice...  learning to trust God... strengthened with boldness and courage... prepared to face the Goliath of his day, and to fulfill his life calling to shepherd God's sheep.  May they have strong, godly friendships, like David and Jonathan, encouraging each other in the Lord, and serving each other.  May they walk in both humility and boldness, and be boys after God's own heart.

Here is the first of several boys named David in need of sponsors.  This David from Bolivia is 5 years old, lives with both his parents, and typical houses in his community are constructed of dirt floors, tin walls and wood roofs.  He lives in an area with higher risk of exploitation and abuse for children.  Is your heart Moved with Compassion for this David?  Read more about David here...

This 8 year old David in Uganda lives with both his parents who are sometimes employed as farmers, and when they do get work, they can earn the equivalent of $4/month. Typical homes in his community are constructed of dirt floors, mud walls and thatched roofs.  Children in his community face a higher risk of exploitation and abuse.  Is your heart Moved with Compassion for this David?  See David's profile here...

David in Burkina Faso lives with his father who sometimes gets work as a laborer... day laborers earn the equivalent of $20/month.  One of David's duties is carrying water, and typical houses in his community are constructed of dirt floors, adobe walls and corrugated iron roofs.  And like the other two boys I have featured here, he also lives in an area with higher risk of exploitation and abuse.  At 12 years of age, this David has already lost one or more sponsors... is your heart Moved with Compassion to be an example of faithfulness and commitment to this boy?   If so, see David's page here...

There are a few other boys named David in need of sponsors, and I invite you to go see this page, pray over each one of these boys, and see if your heart is Moved with Compassion to sponsor one of them.  You will be so blessed as you start a beautiful journey with him, encouraging him in being a David who is mighty in spirit and a man after God's own heart.
Blessings to you today!
